This expansion introduces ten new Gems like four new Ability Gems and six new Supports. The new skills have a concentrate on necromancy, though the support gems are made to augment as many skills as possible in new and exciting strategies.

Path of Exile: War for the Atlas contains over fifty new Distinctive Things, lots of of which have been developed by our neighborhood.
New Supporter Packs
We're also launching a brand new set of Supporter Packs alongside War for the Atlas. They function the four exclusive armour sets worn by the Elder Guardians, also as new weapon effects, portals, forum titles, portrait frames, t-shirts and microfibre cloth maps featuring the new Atlas.
The Abyss Challenge League
Path of Exile: War for the Atlas launches on December 8 (Pacific Time) on Computer and shortly following on Xbox A single. Alongside the expansion, we're also introducing the Abyss Challenge League. Fight foes that spill forth in the underworld beneath your feet as you journey across Wraeclast. Claim beneficial new Abyss Jewels to customise your characters and items in new approaches. We'll post detailed information regarding how the Abyss Challenge League performs next week.
The Elder Guardians
Because the Elder grows much more powerful, he will consume The Shaper's creations to manifest his personal Guardians. The stronger the consumed boss, the stronger The Elder is if you face him.
